From a student's observation about his city's dining scene, to a decade of enterprise, industry recognition and a public voice for Mathura's small businesses.
Born on 27 December 1994 and raised in Mathura, Ankit Bansal grew up in a family rooted in the city's construction and building-materials trade. Entrepreneurship, though, found him almost by accident — a family outing in search of a proper meal on the road revealed a gap in Mathura's dining scene: good ambience with none of the taste, or good taste with none of the ambience.
That observation became Bansal Foods, launched while Ankit was still a student and built on the idea that "food is only half the story — the rest is how people are made to feel." Over the years the restaurant grew into one of the more recognised dining names in the city, earning honours from state and city-level industry bodies along the way.
Started as a student venture on family property in Krishna Nagar, built around the idea that Mathura's families deserved good food and good ambience together, at a price that made sense.
Bansal Foods is named Best Vegetarian Restaurant in Mathura and, later, in Uttar Pradesh, by city and state industry bodies, with the honours presented at public ceremonies across those years.
